New Recordings:

You can listen to audio excerpts and find links for on-line purchase on my recordings page.

"Kafka Pony: Music of Mastaneh Nazarian" (January 2006)

This recording features original compositions by guitarist Mastaneh Nazarian in jazz trio format.

"Airwaves: 100 Years of Radio" (December 2005)

After several years in the making, this unique CD is now available. Check it out on my "Airwaves" page.

"Journeys: People, Places" (April 2005)

I am delighted to announce the release of my latest CD recording as a leader. Entitled "Journeys: People, Places", this recording documents some of my compositions from the time of my departure from Australia in 2002, through 2004. Within this 3 year period I was based in Los Angeles, USA, but also spent time in Tokyo, Japan, and Amsterdam, Holland where new compositions were inspired.
For photos of the recording sessions and other background information, visit my "Journeys" page.

Dan Morris R.I.P. (December 21, 2007)

It is with great sadness that I attended Dan Morris' funeral in Los Angeles in December. Dan recorded drum tracks on "Journeys", and engineered my tracks on "Airwaves".
Listen to my eulogy for Dan Morris - drummer. (9.1MB)

New location:

I have recently moved from Boston, USA to Melbourne, Australia. I welcome new enquiries for lessons/classes.

New publications:

I am honored to appear in the latest edition of Bassics magazine in the USA. A track from my latest CD appears on the accompanying CD alongside the music of Chick Corea, Marc Johnson and Jaco Pastorius. Also, excerpts from Bass Riyaz are in the magazine.

I have just released a new book. "Articulations for Bass" is built around one chapter of my greater book "Bass Riyaz", and serves as an affordable introduction to this parent book.

It is available in print form and electronic download via Lulu Publishers.

Mailing Lists:

Please consider signing up for my gigs mailing list; contact me for info on this and other mailing lists.
