John McLaughlin's "The Wish" was recorded by Shakti on "Remember Shakti" and "The Promise".
John Coltrane's "Resolution" has been recorded by many artists since "A Love Supreme".
This version was influenced by Marc Johnson's "Bass Desires".
Jimmy Johnson's wonderfully-constructed and executed bass solo on Allan Holdsworth's "54 Duncan Terrace" (recorded on "Secrets").
John Coltrane's "Countdown", arranged here for 6-string bass. The melody is accompanied by a walking bass line.
Ralph Towner's "Distant Hills" from Oregon's record of the same name.
The Latin-Jazz tune "Angelica" by Emiliano Salvador as played by Jorge Reyes (bass).
The bass line for "Jovenes Del Ritmo" as played by Cachao Lopez.
Kurt Rosenwinkel's "Use of Light" as played on "The Next Step".
The bass line for "Al Fin Te Ve" (E. Lecuona) as played by Cachao Lopez.

Samples of my compositions

I am frequently making more of my compositions available on-line. These are able to be viewed and played for free, and downloaded and printed for a small fee at SibeliusMusic.com. Before you can do this you need to install the free Scorch plug-in into your web browser.

Click to download the necessary plug-in. Note that it presently doesn't work with Netscape... If you have a Macintosh running OS9, install the free web browser Opera to view music on this site.

Once you've got Scorch, click to visit my Sibelius web page.
