ABOUT OUR MUSIC
The Adrian Sherriff Trio performs original compositions by the band members and unique arrangements of jazz repertoire. Jazz repertoire by Thelonious Monk, Steve Coleman, and George Gershwin are re-imagined in a landscape where odd metres, rhythmic stratafication and bitonality collide to create a rich and stimulating tapestry.
Drawing inspiration from North- and South-Indian Classical music, the band performs original compositions that are rhythmically charged and swoop deftly across cyclical forms.
